Step by Step to Reading using phonics for the Caribbean: Consonants and Short Vowel Sounds – Book 2

With its phonic base, this series has been designed for both adult and children learning to read. The features of each title are: the use of simple words that “work” by being sounded out; games and activities to make learning fun; the mastery over key words needed for literacy; a variety of methods for teaching of reading; and teaching notes to show how each page can best be used. The second book, “Consonants and Short Vowel Sounds”, contains activity pages for beginning readers which help them to learn and use the common sounds of the consonants, then progressing to the principles of writing sentences. It also includes an assessment test which can be copied for use at home or school.
